Irene is the Program Director of Temenos Rising. She has been designing and facilitating experiences that connect people more deeply to themselves, their community, and the natural world for over fifteen years. She has worked with numerous environmental and sustainability education programs as an educator, leader, mentor, and wilderness guide. Irene supports the creation of safer spaces in the natural world for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) so that all people can access the healing and nourishment of our natural systems to live well and thrive.

For nearly a decade, Irene has explored meditation and body based spiritual practices. She holds a MS in Leadership for Sustainability Education from Portland State University and has trained as a Buddhist Eco-chaplain with the Sati Center for Buddhist Studies. Irene calls the Pacific Northwest home where she enjoys hiking, hanging out with big trees, surfing, practicing meditation, spending time in community, growing food, and taking romps with her pup. She bring her whole self to this work for the benefit of all beings.
